15 Percent Of Jakarta ASN Experience Mental Problems

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office Ani Ruspitawati revealed that 15 percent of state civil servants (ASN) in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are experiencing mental problems.

This was revealed by Ani in her report to the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, during the campaign gymnastics activity with a MAINTAINANCE of 2.0 at the DKI Jakarta City Hall yard.

"Some have mental problems. And this is not small, sir, but 15 percent," said Ani, Friday, July 18.

Referring to Law Number 18 of 2014 concerning Mental Health, people with mental problems are people who have physical, mental, social, growth and development problems, and/or quality of life, so they experience the risk of mental disorders.

This is different from people with mental disorders, where they are people who have experienced disorders in thoughts, behaviors, and feelings manifested in the form of a set of symptoms and/or changes in meaningful behavior, and can cause suffering and obstacles in carrying out people's functions as human beings.

This is the reason his party initiates joint gymnastics every Friday which is now required by the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

"Health of activities is part of creating mental health. And several other diseases. Therefore, we want to continue campaigning that Friday is a day of exercise for all of us as a start we follow having a healthy lifestyle," said Ani.

In addition, Ani also revealed that 62 Jakarta ASNs suffered obesity or were above normal weight due to excessive fat buildup.

"From the results of the ASN health examination conducted in 2024, there are several results that we may have to pay attention to. There are 62 percent of those who are obese," said Ani.

Ani also said that as many as 15.4 percent of ASN's physical condition was overweight and 24 percent were not fit. In addition, as much as 27.6 percent have hypertension, and 5.7 percent have diabetes mellitus.

In fact, according to Ani, Jakarta ASN can be considered as an example or role model for the community. Therefore, civil servants should regularly carry out sports campaigns.

"All of us as ASN are role models. Role models to unite to the community and invite them to have an active lifestyle," said Ani.
