The Vote For The Election Of PSI Chairman Has Been 71 Percent, Kaesang Wins Far

JAKARTA - Secretary of the PSI Grand Election Steering Committee (SC), Beny Papa revealed the results of the vote acquisition for the Grand Election to determine the candidate for PSI General Chair in the coming period.

Currently, votes come from the e-voting process to at least 71 percent. As a result, Kaesang Pangarep, who is the incumbent, is said to be far superior to other general chairman candidates. However, it was not revealed how many percent of the votes Kaesang received.

"As of today, at 8 (in the morning) I checked, we have reached 71 percent of the votes, that's 132,400 (noise). The position is that now Mas Kaesang is already above, already superior to the two other candidates. If we look at it, for our general position, it is very significant for the difference," Benny told reporters, Friday, July 18.

Meanwhile, the votes obtained by the two other candidates, namely Ronald Aristone Sinaga and Agus Mulyono Herlambanh, received votes at a difference not far from the two.

"Then Bro Agus and Bro Ron almost confirmed that they are in the numbers that I think can be said to be the same. Because this difference is only a few hundred votes, if we look at it very thin, which maybe we will see later tonight, what will it look like," said Beny.

Currently, there are still around 50 thousand party cadres bearing the rose symbol who have not made a choice. However, Beny sees that the potential for the voice of the youngest son of the President to Joko Widodo will be overtaken is quite difficult.

"The percentage is quite far, but we'll see if, because there are two other candidates who will also share the 50,000 votes, we'll see," said Beny.

Scheduled, the PSI Congress will be held in Solo, Central Java on Saturday-Sunday, 19-20 July 2025. PSI revealed that President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Jokowi will attend the momentum of determining PSI's new chairman.
