Minister Of Agriculture Amran Make Sure The SPHP Rice Is Notoplosed

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman ensured that the government's distribution of Stability of Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) rice was guaranteed to be free from the practice of mixing.

The entire process of distributing SPHP rice is controlled by official institutions and according to direct instructions from President Prabowo Subianto.

"If (the SPHP rice) doesn't dare (ngoplos). This is all a red plate, don't dare. This is the president who ordered it, don't dare anyone (ngoplos). I don't dare, especially since he (the state-owned company) dares to gongoplos," he said in a press statement, Friday, July 18.

Amran said that 1.5 million tons of SPHP rice are ready to be distributed to the public. All of them have been packaged and distributed according to the specifications listed on the packaging.

As a form of distribution distribution, the government has opened 5,302 distribution points throughout Indonesia. The largest distribution locations are at the Post Office, as part of the collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia and various other food SOEs.

"We will open 5,302 points throughout Indonesia, and the largest is the Post Office. So people will be patient in line, buy rice at points determined by the government," he said.

He said that anyone who plays an active role in distribution, including security forces and the wider community, could contribute.

"Those who are allowed to distribute are the government, BUMN, and those that have been determined by Badanas. All retailers, TNI, Polri can open it, including journalists if they want," said Amran.
