Student Laptop Contains Screening Data Lost Stolen In Beautiful Rosalia Bus

JAKARTA - A student passenger on the Rosalia Indah bus became a victim of a crime while on the bus. The victim lost his laptop while traveling by Rosalia Indah bus from Solo to Malang.

This incident was recorded by amateur cameras and went viral on social media Instagram @seputar_jaksel on Monday, July 14, 2025. In his upload, the victim expressed disappointment because the laptop containing a number of reports and his thesis data was missing on the Rosalia Indah bus.

It was later discovered that the victim was named Tabita Sijabat (21). The incident began when he ordered a bus ticket for Rosalia Indah to depart from Gilingan Terminal, Solo, to Malang on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

The victim ordered a ticket suddenly and the remaining seats were only in 7D. On the way, the victim carried a gray laptop in his bag.

Furthermore, this Sebelas Maret University (UNS) student said that she had fallen asleep on the way. When she woke up at the last Pool of Malang, her laptop bag position had changed. The one who was on the right, moved to the left side of the victim's bench.

When the victim tried to lift his bag, it turned out that the bag felt light. When the victim checked, it turned out that the laptop in the bag had been stolen by the thief in the Rosalia Indah bus crew.

Then the victim asked the Rosalia Indah bus crew to check the CCTV footage but it was not carried out by the PO Bus. When the victim urged to open CCTV footage on the bus, it turned out that the PO Bus said that the CCTV on the bus the victim was traveling in was no longer functioning and damaged.

Responding to this incident, transportation observer Djoko Setijowarno regretted the finding of damage to the CCTV of one of the autobus companies.

"I think it is mandatory for each company (PO Bus) to install CCTV to help them detect people who cheat. If that is still the case for those who lose their PO as well, the passengers will go to another PO," said Djoko when confirmed by VOI, Friday, July 17, 2025, evening.

Djoko said that the bus company should be able to track passengers with a list of bus passengers.

"The next passenger (victim) should have been detected as well. There is an ID card, as well as on the train. This is a lesson for Rosalia. Do not let CCTV die. It must still exist," he said.

Djoko said that installing CCTV on bus crews is a common thing and must be done at this time.

"Right now, the name CCTV is natural in every public vehicle. Because with CCTV we will easily find out. If that's the case, passengers are also afraid to ride Rosalia Indah," he said.

Meanwhile, victims of laptop theft can report the incident to the police so that the case can be thoroughly investigated.

"I think if things like that, consumers are also entitled (to make a police report), later the police will follow up. Rosalia's service is quite good. Actually, it can be tracked if the passenger is really registered according to his ID card. I think all passenger AKAP buses must be recorded with an ID card. Then if there is CCTV, it is easy to detect as early as possible," he explained.
