KPK Investigate Corruption In Procurement Of Additional Toddlers And Pregnant Women At The Ministry Of Health
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it is investigating allegations of corruption related to the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women. The process is said to be carried out by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
"The related corruption crime is still being investigated," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 17 evening.
Asep did not want to elaborate on the investigation. This is because this activity is usually closed and only conveyed when it goes up to the investigation stage.
However, based on information collected, the investigation was carried out in early 2024. This alleged corruption was allegedly rolled out in 2016-2020.
"The clue (its indication, red) what, the clue is (related to procurement, red) baby food and pregnant women," he said.
Reporting from a number of reports, PMT for toddlers and pregnant women is an effort to improve their nutritional status so as to reduce stunting or tengkes. The form is in the form of biscuits, milk, eggs, and other nutritious foods.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto, once mentioned that the government's administration of biscuits and milk was not effective. At that time, he reminded the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to conduct a study on the free nutritious food program (MBG) so that the reduction in stunting could be maximized.
"From year to year, there is not much stunting reduction," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto from an official release quoted on Monday, March 10.
Setyo said that children or pregnant women receive more biscuits than milk from the KPK study. Thus, it is hoped that the ineffective giving will not be repeated in the free nutritious eating program.
"Therefore, I hope this is really considered so that it doesn't happen again," said the former Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
"Make sure the food content is really studied and adjusted so that the food that reaches the children and pregnant women is really of high quality," continued Setyo.
