Bali Police: No Drug Gangs In Australian Foreigner Shooting Case
DENPASAR - Bali Regional Police stated that there was no indication of involvement of a drug network gang in the shooting case of a foreign national from Australia in Vila Casa Santisya 1, Munggu Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali.
"We see the main point of the case there is a criminal act (murder). That's what we are currently working on by fellow investigators," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police Kombes Ariasandy in Denpasar, Thursday, July 17.
This was conveyed by Ariasandy when answering reporters' questions regarding the statement by the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN)Martinus Hukom who stated that the shooting case of Australian foreigners in Badung should be suspected to have something to do with the international narcotics crime network that entered Bali.
According to the Head of BNN, in investigating the case, a wider criminology analysis is needed than just a murder crime.
He also concluded that it was suspected that the shooting was related to an international narcotics network that made Bali a ground shelling or a place for the massacre of fellow drug cartels.
Sandy revealed that investigators have not found any allegations of narcotics crime. Likewise, the allegations of the three suspects being hitmen who had designed the murder before entering Bali.
During a urine test on the three shooters, namely Tupou Pasa Midolmore (27), Coskunmevlut (23) andegory Francesco Jenson (37), the results were negative.
Sandy said so far, investigators have not found any obstacles, although the motive for the murder case has not yet been disclosed by the police to the public.
"Meanwhile, there are no obstacles. The name process depends on the level of difficulty and the evidence collected. So far, there seems to be no problems," he said.
The former Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police informed that based on the results of ballistic tests, there was a match between the transcendents contained in the bodies of the three perpetrators and the gun found by the police.
That is also strong evidence of the involvement of the three alleged perpetrators in the shooting of Australian foreigners.
Regarding the discovery of the second firearm in this case, the Bali Police have not yet opened it. "Later we will release it comprehensively about it (the weapon)," added Sandy.
