The Indonesian Embassy In Tokyo Reminds Indonesian Citizens To Japan To Respect Applicable Rules

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Tokyo said that all Indonesian citizens (WNI) who will leave Japan must always respect the norms and rules in force in the country.

The Coordinator of the Socio-Cultural Information Function (Pensosbud) of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo Muhammad Al Aula said Indonesia and Japan are two friendly countries.

"One another must respect each other and this also applies not only to the government but also to the community. This must be underlined because when we are in a country of people, of course we must also pay attention to this," said the Hall as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 17.

Indonesian citizens who will work or continue their studies in Japan need to prepare well, especially in Japanese language skills, where he said that at least Indonesian citizens are able to pass the minimum at N4 level.

"In the context of work, of course, we must prepare the skills needed, including of course the ability of the language," he said, while emphasizing Indonesian citizens working in Japan to pay close attention to applicable contracts, either to be signed or to be signed.

The N4 level in the Jopanese Language Proficency Test (JLPT) is the second level of the JLPT exam, which signifies the basic Japanese language capability.

At that level, one is expected to understand conversations and writings in a wider daily context, as well as use Japanese in a more complex situation than N5 levels.

It is known that level N5 is the most basic level, while level N1 is the highest level in JLPT.

In addition, the Hall also urges Indonesian citizens who will work and live in Japan to pay attention to cultural aspects that can be learned from various sources, which are usually submitted to counseling or work preparation carried out by agencies that carry out departures.

"Always to focus on the main target. If you really want to work, work well. Those who want to learn, make maximum efforts to get good results," said the diplomat.

Indonesian citizens in Japan are advised to stay in touch and socialize with local communities and other Indonesian citizens in their spare time, and hope that all Indonesian citizens can bring Indonesia's good name which can later become an opportunity to promote Indonesia to the Japanese people.

In addition, the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo periodically communicates with various Indonesian communities in Japan where the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo has its own communication forum which then becomes a place to share with each other, said the Hall.

Through the forum, said the diplomat, the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo provided guidance, counseling, and sharing information related to things that Indonesian citizens need to do, especially reminding Indonesian citizens in Japan to comply with applicable laws, pay attention to culture, values, ethics, and also crowd procedures that apply in Japan.
