Miley Cyrus Reveals Reasons For Not Wanting To Return To Tour

JAKARTA - Miley Cyrus admitted that she did not have the desire to go on a concert tour, even though the ninth studio album, "Something Beautiful", was only released at the end of last May as a continuation of the "Endless Summer Vacation" which was released in 2023.

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, the 32-year-old singer explained that she was increasingly reluctant to go on tour. This is due to the negative effects it has on her mental health.

"I do have physical abilities and opportunities for tours. I hope to have that desire, but I don't have it," said Cyrus.

"I also don't think there is any infrastructure to support artists. Artists like Prince, who weren't here today, are living a very intense lifestyle. You're on tour, and it's hard to stay aware of on tours, which is a very important pillar of stability in my life. Not only loss of life, but also loss of common sense."

Cyrus continued, it was very difficult for her to maintain mental health when she had to meet many people during the tour.

"Everything I've created will never happen without the way I think. I think it's very difficult to maintain mental health. There are thousands of people screaming at you. You feel a lot of love, then you're completely devastated at the end of the show," he said. "You start to think one person who loves you is not enough. There must be 10,000. There must be 80,000."

This isn't the first time Cyrus has spoken openly about the impact of the tour on her. In 2023, she stated that she had struggled with the idea of continuing her activities on the road for years, and realized that it was unhealthy for her.

"What people don't really understand about the tour is that it's only 90 minutes, but that's your life... If you appear with a certain intensity and advantage, there should be a balanced recovery and rest time," Cyrus said at the time. "There's an ego level that has to play, which I think is too often used on tours and once the ego appears, it's hard to turn it off. And I think when you train your ego every night to be active, that's the most difficult button I turn off."

He continued, "It removes my humanity and my connections. And without humanity and my connections, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority."
