JAKARTA - PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk or Alfamidi ensures premium rice products sold in its retail network are of high quality and meet quality standards.
This was conveyed following issues related to the alleged circulation of rice that did not comply with quality standards and investigations that are being carried out on a number of producers.
"The producer and supplier of premium rice suppliers also guarantees and ensures that they meet quality standards and consumer food safety aspects," said an official statement from Alfamidi Management received by VOI, Thursday, July 17.
Alfamidi's management said that it had implemented strict procedures for every product sold, including requiring official permits and laboratory test results from rice producers.
"Alfamidi requires licensing and the results of the product lab test to be met by rice producers to ensure rice quality standards," he said.
One of the rice producers that supplies to Alfamidi is PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, which produces the Alfamidi Setra Pulen brand. The Food Station is said to have guaranteed the production process and quality of rice according to government quality standards.

"In every batch of production and before delivery, the quality of the rice is always checked by the Quality Control (QC) Food Station team," he continued.
Alfamidi also emphasized that they are very selective in choosing producer partners and suppliers, especially those committed to product quality and safety.
"Alfamidi is certainly selective and chooses producers who prioritize product quality. This is to ensure the protection of products used or consumed by consumers," explained management.
