40 Years Of Music, Dwiki Dharmawan Holds A Star-Studded Special Concert
JAKARTA - Dwiki Dharmawan celebrates his 40 years of music journey through a concert titled The Musical Journey Of. The show, which is promoted by Prestige Promotions, will be held at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta on Saturday, August 23.
Memaknai perjalanan musiknya yang dimulai sejak masih belasan, Dwiki merasa empat dekade yang ia melalui sebagai sebuah perjalanan spiritual.
"Four decades, to be precise I have had a spiritual journey, deep enough and long. I feel grateful for Allah SWT, God Almighty, who gave me the opportunity to be able to explore life through music," Dwiki said at a press conference in Senayan, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, July 16.
In this show, Dwiki invited many collaborators, ranging from Krakatau, Kris Dayanti, Ruth Sahanaya, Once, Sandhy Sondoro, Andien, Putri Ariani, Ita Purnamasari, Dirly, Dira Sugandi, Shanna Shannon, Awdella, Jinan Laetitia, Ivan Paulus, Iskandar Widjaja, Kamal Musallam, to World Peace Orchestra.
"The point is, this concert depicts a spiritual journey expressed through music. Because music is a very universal language," said Dwiki.
"In this concert, there could be my work, there is a work that has obeyed me and I heard since I was little, and maybe there is a work from my collaborator," he added.
Meanwhile, Untung Pranoto as CEO of Prestige Promotions said the The Musical Journey Of concert will feature the diversity of Dwiki Dharmawan's work as one of the musicians who has a complete career in the country.
"We want to hold this concert well, and the most important thing is a concert with an unforgettable experience. Because the celebration of 40 years is impossible to repeat," said Untung.
