Local Train Tickets For Pangrango For Economic Class Increase From August 1 To IDR 55 Thousand

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational 1 Jakarta announced that the Local Train (KA) Pangrango economic class for the Bogor - Sukabumi relation rose from Rp45 thousand to Rp55 thousand starting August 1, 2025.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, said the tariff increase was carried out in line with the change in the Pangrango train series using the New Generation economic train since July 1.

The New Generation Economy Train, he continued, has more modern air conditioning (AC) and facilities, a consistent and timely travel schedule as well as digital services for ticket bookings and travel information.

"This tariff adjustment step is taken to balance the quality improvement of the services we have presented on the Pangrango Local Train," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 16.

Ixfan said that the increase in Pangrango train rates also aims to support the sustainability of local train services that remain reliable and affordable.

The Pangrango train serves the Bogor Sukabumi PP route. The public can get Pangrango train tickets through the Access by KAI application, the official website kai.id, and other official channels.

PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta recorded that the passenger volume of the Pangrango Local Train reached a total of 791,388 people during the first semester of 2025, from January to July.

The trend in passenger volume showed a significant increase in April and June 2025.

The number of passengers in April was 155,048 people, while in June there were 143,811 passengers.

"This increase coincides with the long holiday and school holiday period," said Ixfan.
