Buru Jurist Tan, AGO Will Submit Red Notice To Interpol
The Attorney General's Office (AGO) will immediately submit a red notice to Interpol for Jurist Tan who has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Chrome OS or Chromebook-based laptops at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
Jurist Tan has not been detained because he is abroad. Based on information, the former Special Staff (Stafsus) of Nadiem Makarim is in Australia.
"It will be followed up with a red notice later," said Head of the AGO, Anang Supriatna, to reporters, Wednesday, July 16.
Although there is a lot of information about the location of Jurist Tan, investigators are still looking for his exact whereabouts. Thus, it will determine the steps to be taken.
In addition, investigators will also coordinate with state authorities who are indicated to be the location of the whereabouts of Jurist Tan.
"Later, we will coordinate with neighboring countries or countries that are considered to have been detected, there is a presence in question," said Anang.

Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Sainan, believes that Jurist Tan is in Australia. In addition, from the information obtained, the former staff member Nadiem Makarim is thought to have been seen in the city of Sydney Australia and around the hinterland of Alice Spring.
"We have traced the whereabouts of Jurist Tan and obtained information that he has lived in the Australian state in the last two months," said Boyamin.
Therefore, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) was asked to coordinate with Interpol to repatriate Jurist Tan to Indonesia.
"For this reason, we urge the AGO to immediately include Jurist Tan on Interpol's Red Notice list at Interpol's head office in Lyon France," said Boyamin.
