In Belarus, Prabowo Discusses Trade And Fertilizer Expansion

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto closed his series of state trips by making a short working visit to the capital city of Belarus, Minsk, in order to expand bilateral trade cooperation.

In a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, President Prabowo revealed that the two countries have complementary needs, especially in the commodity and fertilizer sectors.

"Belarus needs many commodities from us, and we also discuss our need for fertilizer, including potash and other types," said President Prabowo in his statement at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, after completing a series of foreign visits as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 16.

Prabowo said the visit to Belarus was part of the Indonesian government's efforts to strengthen food security and ensure the supply of national fertilizers amid the changing global dynamics.

After the meeting in Minsk, President Prabowo immediately returned to Indonesia.

The mass media of BeltA reported that President Prabowo Subianto's meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko lasted for an informal duration of 3 hours.

In a warm meeting at Lukashenko's private residence, the two leaders discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus.

Lukashenko welcomed President Prabowo with full honor and called this visit an important moment to expand bilateral communication.

President Prabowo also conveyed an official invitation to Lukashenko to make a return visit to Indonesia, which was welcomed by the President of Belarus.
