MBG Beneficiaries Reach 6.2 Million, BGN Boss: Can Live Singaporeans

JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, said that the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program until July 14, 2025 has reached 6.2 million beneficiaries throughout Indonesia.

This figure increased after the school holiday period.

"There was a holiday and then there was a very significant addition during this holiday. Thank God, yesterday it was 6 million, and today, there are 200,000, so today we can serve 6.2 million all beneficiaries," he said in a channel program. one of the national media, Monday, July 14th.

He added that this achievement was already very large when compared to the Singapore population scale.

"For Indonesia, this is only 7 percent of the target of 82.9 million beneficiaries. But if this is in Singapore, this can already support all those who are active in Singapore. Because in Singapore only 4.2 million people," said Dadan.

"So, what has been done by the National Nutrition Agency has been able to support all people who are active in Singapore," he continued.

Dadan admitted, so far the program has run smoothly and continues to show an increasing trend.

However, his party is also evaluating technical aspects so that the target recipient of 82.9 million can be achieved.

"So far it has been smooth, so the program continues to run, continues to increase. Indeed, there are technical things that we are still synchronizing, we are sharpening so that the acceleration can continue to be carried out because our target is 82.9 million, God willing, it can be achieved by the end of November or early December (2025)," he said.

BGN, he continued, targets the coverage of the MBG program to increase rapidly in the near future.

At the end of August, Dadan hopes that the number of beneficiaries will reach more than 20 million people.

"We also want by the end of August (2025), this program will cover more than 20 million beneficiaries," he hoped.
