Google Doodle Today Celebrating Viral Drinks Sugar Milk Coffee Aren
JAKARTA - If you look at today's Google icon differently, it's because Google is celebrating Sugar Milk Coffee, a very popular drink in Indonesia.
This doodle celebrates a unique drink of sugar milk palm coffee! This milk and coffee-based drink made with sugar is refreshing the morning routine in the best possible way," wrote Google.
This doodle with a tropical-themed coffee cup appears on Google Indonesia's main page as a form of appreciation for local drinks which have now become a national phenomenon even known abroad.
The search giant said that the drink, which is familiarly called copsuren (abbreviation from sugar milk coffee), became popular in the mid-2010s.
Where the combination between black coffee or fire, fresh milk, and liquid palm sugar makes it a sweet drink, creamy, and has a distinctive scent.
Stimulated hot or cold, kopsuren is now a mainstay in modern coffee shops in various big cities, at a more affordable price.
Not only that, this Doodle celebration also touched on last year's historic moment, when as many as 27,000 South Sumatrans simultaneously enjoyed sugar milk coffee, and set a MURI record (Indonesian World Record Museum) for drinking the most coffee at the same time.

The event, which was organized by the South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, involved participants from all regencies/cities in South Sumatra, including 10,000 participants from Palembang City, and took place at Kuto Besak Fort, Palembang.
In addition to record-breaking, this event was also enlivened by night entertainment featuring 15 capital artists and broadcast live by national TV stations.
