Minister Of Transportation Calls Cross-Sector Synergy The Key To Successful Hajj Transportation Organizers 2025

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said that close across ministries, institutions, and transportation operator partners were the keys to the success of Hajj transportation operations in 1446 H/2025 AD.

"The implementation of the pilgrimage is not only a matter of religion, but also concerns the management of transportation on a large scale. Alhamdulillah, thanks to strong synergy, all stages of embarkation, debarkation, and movement of pilgrims at home and abroad are running in an orderly and safe manner," said Dudy in an official statement, Monday, July 14.

In this year's Hajj season, Indonesia dispatched 203,149 pilgrims and 4,210 Hajj officers to the Holy Land. The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation coordinates 525 flight groups from 14 embarkations throughout Indonesia to Saudi Arabia.

Dudy said transportation services were supported by three airlines, namely Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, and Saudia Airlines. The Ministry of Transportation also ensures that technical support, airport services, and flight time slot arrangements run optimally.

"We work 24 hours together with airport operators, airlines, air navigation authorities, and the government of Saudi Arabia. All parties give the best commitment so that the congregation can go and go home safely, comfortably, and on time," said Dudy.

Despite running smoothly, Dudy emphasized the importance of a thorough evaluation of the Hajj transportation system, both in terms of travel time, comfort, and integration of inter-institutional data.

This is considered important as an effort to improve sustainably in the future.

"Every Hajj event is a learning field. We have to make sure, next year it will be better than this year. The Ministry of Transportation is ready to improve the quality of facilities, coordination systems, and continue to innovate in services," said Dudy.

In addition, Dudy also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in supporting Hajj transportation services, ranging from the Ministry of Religion, the Directorate General of Immigration, airlines, airport operators, to field officers who work tirelessly.

"Servicing God's guest is a great honor and responsibility. The Ministry of Transportation will continue to be present and contribute optimally to the implementation of the pilgrimage," he said.
