MG4 Latest Generation EV Starts Mass Production, Official Debut In August

JAKARTA - SAIC Motor officially started mass production of its electric hatchback, namely the All New MG4 EV, and its first unit slid off the link at the Nanjing facility.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Monday, July 14, the car, which comes with a myriad of changes, is scheduled to debut in August, as well as complete specifications to the price.

The latest generation MG4 EV comes with a fresher design, revised dimensions to updated technology. In terms of size, this latest generation MG4 EV has a length of 4,395 mm, a width of 1,842 mm, and a height of 1,551 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. This size is an increase from the previous version, which has a length of 4,287 mm with a wheelbase of 2,705 mm.

The longer increase in wheel axis length and distance is likely to offer a wider cabin or cargo space, so it can carry a lot of luggage when you want to go far.

One of the things that caught the attention of this one car was the flashy front emblem. The front was inspired by the MG electric roadster, the MG Cyberster, with the fasia being lit up and the front light unit being separated.

The Chinese brand also introduced two new layers of paint, namely Donglai and is described as metallic purple. In addition, there is also a wingbo green color that uses European imported pearlescent pigments to increase contrast and color depth.

This interior car features the cockpit system of MG\timesOPPO, a jointly developed platform that integrates smartphone-based functions with interfaces inside the car.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed information regarding the distance, but it is expected to offer a range of up to 800 km based on CLTC testing.
