Apple Officially Offers For Formula 1 Broadcasting Rights In The US
JAKARTA Apple has made an offer worth at least 150 million US dollars (Rp 2.4 trillion) per year for the broadcasting rights of Formula 1 in the United States starting in 2026. This was reported by Business Insider on Friday, July 11, citing sources familiar with the negotiations.
According to the report, the iPhone maker is in pole position to win the broadcast rights, as Walt Disney's ESPN, which currently holds broadcasting rights, will not try to match or beat Apple's offer.
Apple rejected requests for comment from the media, while Formula 1 and its owner, Liberty Media, have not responded immediately.

ESPN currently holds the broadcasting rights of Formula 1 in the US until the end of this year's season. However, Reuters reported in February that the ESPN exclusivity period to negotiate a new contract with Formula 1 had expired.
