Tracing CCTV And Witnesses, Police Secure Three Suspects Of Robbery In Palmerah
The authorities have arrested three suspects in the motorcycle theft case in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta. Reports came from the victim with the initials HY whose motorbike was missing in the Kemanggisan area, Palmerah recently.
"The victim HY parked his motorbike in a locked handlebar in the Kemanggisan area while staying at a friend's house," said Palmerah Police Chief, Commissioner Dr Eko Adi Setiawan as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 13.
Found the next day, said Eko, the victim found that his motorbike had been stolen by a thief. "The victim also reported it to the Palmerah Police," said Eko.
Receiving the report, the Police immediately processed the crime scene (TKP), examined witnesses and traced the surveillance camera (CCTV) footage around the location.
"The results of the investigation led to the suspect DZ, who is known to live in the area of Jalan Anggrek Cendrawasih, Kemanggisan, and was successfully secured at night at his residence," said Eko.
Furthermore, said Eko, from the results of the interrogation, DZ admitted that he had sold a red-black motorbike with police number B 3093 BWC for IDR 900,000 to TO at a coffee shop near Kebayoran Lama Station.

TO then pawned the motorbike to RI for Rp. 1 million. Both were arrested in two different locations in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta.
"The victim's motorbike was finally found and secured as evidence," he said.
The three perpetrators must now be held accountable for their actions. Suspect DZ was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft. Meanwhile, TO and RI as custodians were charged under Article 480 and/or Article 481 of the Criminal Code.
"We continue to urge the public to be more vigilant in parking their vehicles, add additional safety keys and report them immediately if they lose," he said.
