On The 11th Day, The SAR Team Focused On Looking For Victims Of KMP Tunu To The South Of The Bali Strait
BANYUWANGI - The joint SAR team on the 11th day of the search for victims of the sinking ship KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya focused on the south because the bodies of most of the victims were found in the southern region of the Bali Strait.
Deputy for Search and Rescue Operations for the Preparedness of the National Search and Rescue Agency, Ribut Eko Suyatno, said that on the first day of the extension of the two searches for the marine Search and Rescue Unit (SRU) team conducted a search on the surface to the south.
"The land sector coordinated by the Head of Police and the Banyuwangi Dandim also carried out a search to comb to the south from Ketapang Port to Muncar Beach," said Eko, Saturday, July 12.
The main tools (defense equipment) for SAR from Basarnas ranks ranging from helicopters, SAR KN Permada and Arjuna, RIB 03 Banyuwangi and RIB Denpasar Bali, and a number of other defense equipment.

Meanwhile, from other potential SARs, starting from the defense equipment belonging to the TNI/Polri, the Ministry of Connectivity, ASDP, and the local government (Pemda), there are 30 main SAR tools.
"From the defense of the Basarnas ranks, there are a total of 11, while from the potential for SAR starting from the TNI/Polri and local governments there are 30 SAR equipment, while the personnel involved in this SAR operation are 548 personnel. This proves that the government is here to do the maximum search and evacuation," said Eko as quoted by ANTARA.
Data from the SAR Operations Post and the Potential for Joint SAR at Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, stated that to this day the number of survivors was recorded at 30 people, 17 victims were found dead (two identification processes), and 18 other victims were still missing and are being searched.
