Commission X Of The Indonesian House Of Representatives Approves Additional Budget Of The Ministry Of Culture, Minister Of Culture Fadli Zon Emphasizes Synergy With Education
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Culture Fadli Zon ensured a big step towards advancing culture after Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives approved an additional indicative ceiling of the 2026 RAPBN. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening cultural and educational synergy so that the benefits were felt by the community.
In a working meeting at the Nusantara I Building of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Thursday, July 10, Fadli Zon explained the realization of the 2025 budget and the proposed additional 2026 budget of IDR 4.96 trillion. The ministry's total budget next year will reach IDR 5.78 trillion. This is not just a matter of routine spending. This budget supports strategic programs, strengthening the cultural ecosystem, improving human resources, and better governance," said Fadli.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI Lalu Hadrian Irfani, followed by eight factions. All factions support additional budgets. Member of the PKS faction, Ledia Hanifa, highlighted the importance of keeping the museum as a learning center. He also asked that cultural endowment funds be utilized optimally. Eternary fund synergy with the APBN must really be felt by the community," said Ledia.
