The Ministry Of PKP Proposes An Additional Budget Of IDR 48 Trillion In 2026 To Accelerate The BSPS Program

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) proposed an additional budget for 2026 of IDR 48 trillion. Meanwhile, the effective budget ceiling received by the Ministry of PKP is IDR 1.8 trillion next year.

"We propose an additional Rp48 trillion budget for 2026, so that the indicative ceiling is Rp49.8 trillion," said Ara at a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 10.

Ara menjelaskan, usulan tambahan anggaran tersebut akan digunakan untuk Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS) senilai Rp45,55 triliun dengan target dua juta unit.

"We ask for prayers and support from friends of Commission V. We propose from the proposed budget of Rp45.55 trillion or 91.37 percent for the BSPS budget with a target of two million housing units in 2026," he said.

Meanwhile, the remaining proposed additional budget of IDR 4.30 trillion will be used to support the achievement of the development and renovation targets of 3 million houses.

Then, for handling slum areas according to the target and priority of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and the Government Work Plan (RKP) for 2026.

"Through the proposed budget, the Ministry of PKP (will) produce the construction of 2,052 million units (houses) and handling 225,000 slum areas," said Ara.

"So, creative steps are still needed to achieve the development and renovation target of 3 million houses through the financing of FLPP subsidies," he continued.

The indicative ceiling of the Ministry of PKP this year is set at IDR 3.4 trillion, with the realization until June 30, 2025, reaching IDR 970.46 billion.
