The Ambition Of Torehkan Luis Enrique's History And Support For Xabi Alonso
JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain has ambitions to make history by winning quadruples or four trophies in a row. PSG are chasing the fourth trophy after making sure to qualify for the 2025 Club World Cup final by eliminating Real Madrid.
PSG showed a very good performance against Madrid in the semifinal match at the Metlife East Rutherford Stadium, New Jersey, Thursday, July 10, 2025 in the morning WIB. Even the victory was beyond predictions because PSG broke into Madrid's goal four times.
Midfielder Fabian Ruiz scored a brace. Furthermore, Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos confirmed their advantage so PSG closed the match with a score of 4-0.
"It's a beautiful win. And, we're happy to be able to reach the final," Enrique was quoted as saying by Yahoo Sport.
This brilliant victory made Enrique confident that Les Parisiens would be able to make history by defeating Chelsea in the final of fellow European teams, Monday, July 14, 2025 in the morning WIB.
Previously, PSG won the Champions League for the first time and first won treble after winning Ligue 1 and French Cup. This was done by PSG after being left by Kylian Mbappe who moved to Madrid.
"This has been our target since starting the tournament although we know it will be difficult to achieve it. Few teams can do what we want to do," said the former Barcelona coach and the Spanish national team.
"We only need one more game to make history for Paris and the French club when they win every competition we play. This means a lot to us and fans," he said again.
Enrique also supports his compatriot, coach Xabi Alonso. According to him, Alonso's performance cannot be judged only by a landslide defeat in the semifinal match.
Moreover, the former Bayer Leverkusen coach has only been in charge of Los Merengues for a few weeks replacing Carlo Ancelotti. Meanwhile, he has been holding PSG since 2023.
"Everything is new to them. He has recently joined [the Madrid]. Compare it to us who have been together for the last two years," said Enrique, who is one of the few players who has played in Madrid and Barca.

"He still needs time and it is important for him and his team to do pre-season so that they can continue their work. He cannot be judged and we cannot be compared. Our situation cannot be equated," he said.
PSG face opponents no less tough, Chelsea, in the final. Chelsea who eliminated Fluminense also won the UEFA Conference League and manager Enzo Maresca took a double title by winning the Club World Cup.
