This Is The Reason Why The DKI Provincial Government Has Lowered The Parking Tax Revenue Target Of IDR 50 Billion
JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government through the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has proposed a reduction in the target of parking service tax of IDR 50 billion from IDR 350 billion to IDR 300 billion.
The decrease in the revenue target was revealed in the draft amendment to the Draft Amendment to the General Policy of the APBD as well as the Draft Changes in the Priority and Temporary Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) of the APBD for the 2025 Fiscal Year.
The decline is a question from the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Head of the Retribution and Other Revenue Division of the DKI Jakarta Regional Original Revenue Agency, Andriansyah, explained the cause of the proposed reduction in the off-street tax target.
One of the factors is the change in the behavior of a number of people who previously used private vehicles towards the use of public transportation.
So, they no longer need a place to park their vehicle.
"People's culture has begun to change, yes, those who were used to using private cars have become public transport," Andriansyah told VOI, Wednesday, July 9.
"From the data, the use from the LRT, MRT, then rail and non-rel-based vehicles is also quite significant. So, that's one of the factors," he continued.
Andriansyah assessed that the economic slowdown was also one of the causes of reduced parking tax revenue.
Then, there are several private parking manager taxpayers who were previously active in operating according to the latest checks.
"So there is a re-data collection, there is data that may have to be re-esessed. It also has an effect. But the most important thing is the shifting of the use of public vehicles which may be used to using private to become public," explained Andriansyah.
Not only Bapenda, the Parking Management Unit (UP) of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency also proposed a decrease in the on-street parking retribution target in the draft amendment to the 2025 APBD.

Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan, revealed a number of factors, one of which was due to reduced parking space units (SRP) due to physical work projects.
