KPK Ensures Khofifah And Ridwan Kamil Will Be Examined, Only A Matter Of Schedulement
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil had not been investigated, not because of political affairs. They are just waiting for time to be questioned.
"We don't think there is (a political element that makes both of them never be examined, ed). This is technical in scheduling only," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Wednesday, July 9.
Khofifah is known to have been investigated in connection with the bribery case for grant funds for community groups (pokmas) from the East Java Regional Budget for the 2019-2022 period. She should have been examined as a witness on Friday, June 20.
However, Khofifah was not present at that time because there was a busy schedule. Thus, rescheduling will be arranged.
Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil was said to be summoned regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements at Bank Jawa Barat and Banten (BJB) or BJB. The name of the Golkar Party politician entered the vortex of the case because his house was searched last March.
From this forced attempt, investigators then confiscated a large motorbike in the form of a Royal Enfield to a Mercedes Benz of 280 SL or Mercy Pagoda.

Returning to Budi, he said, investigators would certainly ask anyone for information to collect evidence. Thus, the public is asked to continue to monitor the investigation of the two alleged corruption allegations.
"We make sure that whoever is needed by investigators for questioning will be summoned for examination," he said.
"In this case, the KPK has also examined other witnesses, even the KPK has also confiscated many assets which are suspected to be the result of the corruption crime," concluded Budi.
