After The Great Flood, The Water Inundation Is Still Submerging In The North Jakarta Area Wednesday Morning
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that two Neighborhood Units (RT) in Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, were still flooded until Wednesday, July 9 morning.
"Information on the height of the puddles until Wednesday at 04.00 WIB, the water is still submerging a number of areas including North Jakarta," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta, Isnawa Adji on Wednesday morning.
He said the flood heights in two RTs in Kapuk Muara Village reached 25-30 centimeters (cm).
The water level has decreased compared to Tuesday (8/7) morning at around 06.00 WIB with a height of about 65 cm. "Meanwhile, one RT in Pluit Village has receded," he said.
The flood in Kapuk Muara was caused by high rainfall accompanied by coastal flooding or tidal flooding.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning regarding the potential for coastal flooding (rob) on July 4-13, 2025 due to the maximum tide of seawater along with the Perigee and New Moon phases.
Tidal activity has the potential to increase the maximum sea level in the northern coastal area of Jakarta, which causes the Fish Market Sluice Gate to be on standby/Siaga 2 on Monday (7/7) at 14.00 WIB.
In addition, the rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings caused an increase in the Angke Upstream Monitoring Post Alert / Alert 3 on Monday (7/7) at 05.00 WIB rose to Alert 2 / Alert at 20.00 WIB. Then rose to Alert 1 / Disaster at 22.00 WIB.
Monitoring Post for Sunter Hulu Alert/Siaga 3 on Monday (7/7) at 14.00 WIB rose to Alert 2/Alert at 21.00 WIB.
Katulampa Alert Dam / Siaga 3 on Monday (7/7) at 19.00 WIB and Manggarai Alert Water Gate / Siaga 3 on Monday (7/7) at 21.00 WIB.
Karet Alert/Alert 3 Water Gate on Monday (7/7) at 21.00 WIB rose to Alert 2/Alert at 22.00 WIB which caused several inundation in the DKI Jakarta area.
