Arya Daru Pangayunan, Young Diplomat Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Who DIEd In Lakban Will Be On Duty Abroad At The End Of July

JAKARTA - Arya Daru Pangayunan (39), a murder victim at the Menteng boarding house, Central Jakarta, a young diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu). Arya Daru was found dead tragically with his head and face wrapped in yellow duct tape. Information obtained, Arya Daru is scheduled to be on duty abroad at the end of July 2025.

This was conveyed by a colleague of the victim when he visited the scene where the victim died at the 'Gues House Gondia' boarding house, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta.

"That's right, a diplomat for the foreign ministry. Basically, the placement of duties will go at the end of this month abroad," said the man in the white shirt, the victim's colleague, Tuesday, July 8.

When found, the victim's body, Arya Daru Pangayunan's body was wrapped in duct tape on his head like a mummy.

"It was wrapped like a mummy on his face, all over his head. It was completely like a mummy. The thread was slightly thick when I saw it from the image," he said.

In his daily life, the victim lives alone in these boarding houses.

"He boarding himself. He was found lying on his back, his legs were bent and under the blanket. When the boarding house guard entered, his blanket was pulled," he said.

Meanwhile, the Menteng Metro Police are still examining a number of witnesses regarding the victim's death.

The head of the Meteng Metro Police, Kompol Rezha Rahandhi, said that his party could not confirm the cause of death of the victim.

"The motive is not yet known, we are still investigating. There are no signs of external post-mortem," he briefly told VOI, Tuesday, July 8.
