Missing Three Weeks, Children With Special Needs In West Jakarta Found In West Sumatra

JAKARTA - A boy with special needs with the initials YPP (15) has been reported missing in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta for 3 weeks. The victim's parents then reported it to the Kembangan Police.

After receiving a public report, the Kembangan Police investigator team immediately conducted an investigation.

From a series of investigations carried out, police officers finally managed to find YPP in the Palupuh area, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) alive.

Kembangan Police Chief Kompol Moch Taufik Iksan said the YPP, who is a child with special needs, reportedly left the house because he wanted to meet a friend of the virtual world he knew through social media and lives in Aceh.

"We received reports of missing children from their parents, Anita K's mother, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. After a series of investigations and digital tracking, we managed to identify them," said Kompol Taufik when confirmed, Tuesday, July 8.

The Kembangan Police then coordinated with the Palupuh Police, West Sumatra.

"We managed to identify the whereabouts of the child in West Sumatra," he said.

The police then managed to find YPP on Jalan Raya Bukit Tinggi Medan, Kampang Hamlet, Jorong Muaro.

"We are grateful that the child was found in good condition. This is all thanks to cross-regional cooperation," he said.

The police chief appealed to parents to tighten supervision of child associations in cyberspace.
