Indonesia Encourages Economic Cooperation Of BRICS Countries

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - President Prabowo Subianto attended the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sunday, July 6. Indonesia is a new full member country that gets the attention of other BRICS members.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed a number of important points in the meeting. One of them is strengthening economic cooperation between BRICS member countries. This has the potential for BRICS member countries to absorb Indonesian products.

The BRICS meeting this time was attended by founding member countries namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, as well as new members including Indonesia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.
