BI Records Primary Money Reaches IDR 1,957.1 Trillion As Of June 2025
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded that the position of primary money (M0) Adjusted in June 2025 grew 8.6 percent (yoy), continuing growth in the previous month by 14.5 percent (yoy) so that it was recorded at IDR 1,957.1 trillion.
Head of the BI Communications Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, explained that this development was influenced by the growth of cash which was circulated at 9.0 percent (yoy) and the giro of commercial banks at Bank Indonesia adjusted by 8.1 percent (yoy).
"Based on the factors that influence it, M0 Adjusted growth is influenced by monetary control which has taken into account the impact of providing liquidity incentives," he said in his official statement, Monday, July 7.
Previously, BI noted that economic liquidity or money circulated in a broad sense (M2) in May 2025 was recorded at Rp9,406.6 trillion or grew by 4.9 percent (yoy), after previously growing by 5.2 percent (yoy).
Denny said the development was driven by the narrow money supply (M1) growth of 6.3 percent (yoy) and quasi money of 1.5 percent (yoy).
"The development of M2 in May 2025 was mainly influenced by the development of lending and net bills to the Central Government (Pempus)," he said in his statement.

In addition, the net bill to the Pempus contracted by 25.7 percent (yoy), continuing the contraction in the previous month by 21.0 percent (yoy).
Meanwhile, net foreign assets grew by 3.9 percent (yoy), higher than growth by 3.6 percent (yoy) in April 2025.
