7 People Arrested, Robbery Case At Kebon Jeruk Luxury House Mastered By Recidivist Kambahan

The gang of robbers, specialists in breaking into luxury houses in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, was finally arrested by members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim. In this case, the police arrested 7 people in a group of robbery syndicates.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi said the perpetrator was a recidivist syndicate for a similar case.

From the results of the examination, the suspect with the initials W alias S is a recidivist who has been sentenced to 10 months in the North Jakarta area.

The suspect with the initials P alias J, is a recidivist who was convicted for 9 months in Kudus, Central Java.

The suspect's initials M alias T recidivist who was convicted for 2 years in East Kalimantan.

The suspect's initials SHS alias H, a recidivist who was convicted for 2 years and 8 months in East Kalimantan. Then the other suspects had the initials S alias Z, PP alias P, and AA alias A.

"The evidence that was successfully secured, 6 large screwdrivers, 2 small screwdrivers, 1 L key, 1 plier, 1 gerindra engine, 1 large crowbar, 1 jewelry box, 1 gradual, 7 mobile phones, and 1 unit TV 43 inch," said Kombes Twedi when confirmed, Thursday (03/07/2025).

The modus operandi of the perpetrators is to target luxury houses in empty conditions in settlements.

When it is believed that the house is empty, then the perpetrators carry out their actions in groups.

Some played the role of the executor who broke into and looked for the victim's valuables, others were on guard in the car.

"So they are already specialists in carrying out activities to see empty houses," he said.

"And also to carry out these activities, they include one another giving Whatsapp 'Let's work, let's work', meaning they will execute into empty houses according to the target," he continued.

When it arrives at the location, the perpetrators will spread their roles according to their needs, ranging from executing, to selling the stolen goods.

"So for their activities, there are four of them. They have one car and then one person helps open this safe calling the other perpetrator. To sell the stolen goods, the other perpetrators are assigned. That's what their team does like that," he said.

The perpetrators are members of a syndicate because each other was convicted of the same case in 2013-2014.

When they got out of prison, they met each other and committed similar crimes. In fact, in one day, the perpetrators were able to rob 2 houses as well as those that were close to each other.

"So for example, the two things at 09.00 WIB behind Metro TV (Kebon Jeruk), then they immediately carried out activities in Duri. So in 1 day, two crime scenes, so they are specialists between inter-city provinces," he said.

For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code related to theft with weight. The threat of a sentence of 7 years in prison.
