25 Years In The World Of Education, LPI Abata Leaderss Create A Generation Of Characters With Islamic Values

JAKARTA In celebration of the quarter-century of its work, the Abata Leaderss Islamic Education Institute (LPI) reiterated that true education is not only a matter of academic achievement, but also the formation of character, planting Islamic values, and a real contribution to society.

Thursday, July 3, 2025, the institution that has been established since 2000 held mass circumcisions for children from underprivileged families in the Srengseng area, West Jakarta, as part of its 25-year-old celebration.

Located in SD Exiss Abata Building B, this activity marks that value-based education must have a strong roots in social awareness. In collaboration with Perum DAMRI, Hanania Group, and supported by a medical team from dr. Rifki, dr. Rin, and Jaya Jekerman, this event presents a warm atmosphere, full of meaning, and full of human values.

Our main goal today is not just to hold events, but to present Islamic values in concrete actions. The education that we have built for 25 years always departs from the roots: character, courage, and concern," said Gulam Azamrobbani, CEO of LPI Abata Leaderss in a written statement received.

As many as 25 children, according to the age of the institution, participated in this mass circumcision procession. However, more than just medical action, this ending is packaged as a means of syiar and education. Gulam explained that this process teaches the value of courage, responsibility, and readiness to face change, values that become important foundations in the growth and development of boys.

"We want every activity to become a learning space. Including this ending, not only sunnah worship, but also a moment of instilling courage and resilience. This is part of our vision to shape the character of children from an early age," he added.

For 25 years, LPI Abata Leaderss oversees educational units from KB-TK-SD Exiss Abata to SMP Khalid bin Walid, all of whom have won accreditation A, even SD Exiss Abata scored 96 out of a 100 scale. However, according to Gulam, the figure achievement is not the main goal.

On the other hand, what is more important is the formation of a generation that is Qurani, emotionally intelligent, and able to have a positive impact on its environment. Therefore, their education program is designed based on value, with a thematic and contextual approach such as Project-Based Learning, as well as partnerships with international institutions such as Cambridge through the Mentari Group.

The importance of collaboration is also the main message in this event. DAMRI Representative, Lita, emphasized that the synergy between education and the business world needs to continue to be developed, not only as CSR, but as a form of active involvement in building society.

Through activities like this, we want to show that the business world can be present and play a direct role in social development and education. This is part of our shared responsibility," he said.

DAMRI opens the door for further collaboration with LPI in programs to improve the quality of education and other social activities.

With a vision as a Qur'anic Intelligence and Creative School, LPI seeks to balance between spiritual intelligence and critical and creative thinking skills. Elementary school students are even invited to visit Kidzania as part of professional exploration and understanding of social roles in real life. Meanwhile, the junior high school Khalid bin Walid, who carries the concept of leadership, continues to be developed with the vision of becoming a Dream and Champion School.

In the future, LPI will also design the establishment of international curriculum-based high schools such as Cambridge or International Baccalaureate (IB), as a continuation of the global value-based and quality education roadmap.

The celebration of the 25th anniversary of LPI Abata Leaders is not filled with big parties or luxury celebrations, but with real value-based actions: mass circumcision, educational film screenings Hayya 3, and community active involvement. All of this shows that for LPI, education is worship and service.

With the spirit of collaboration, this institution continues to show that education rooted in Islamic values is able to produce generations that are not only superior on paper, but are also able to provide positive colors for the community.

"We believe that the success of education is when children grow up to be confident, characterless, intelligent, and ready to become future leaders," concluded Gulam.
