Chairman Of The Ormas DPW In Banten Reported To The Police Regarding The Stalled House Project
TANGSEL A member of the mass organization who served as Chairman of the DPW in Banten, was reported to the Pondok Aren Police by a resident named Anita on suspicion of fraud and embezzlement related to a house construction project. This case emerged to the public after a number of victims ventured to speak up, although the total number of victims is estimated to reach 20 people.
Anita's attorney, Ricci, stated that her client suffered a loss of up to Rp170 million after paying off the house construction promised by the reported initials RF, through a company. However, the project did not end and was abandoned by RF.
The mode is uniform. The house was promised to be built, then left in an unfinished condition even though the payment was paid off. My client is one of those who experienced this. If the average value is calculated at Rp. 170 million per victim multiplied by 20 people, the potential total loss could reach billions of rupiah," explained Ricci in a written statement, Tuesday, July 2.
Ricci added, of the 20 people suspected of being victims, only five people currently dare to speak up. Meanwhile, Anita is the only victim who officially makes a police report. The rest are still as victim witnesses.
The most sad thing is that there are other victims who even suffered losses of up to half a billion rupiah. This is not a small case. This concerns the fate of many people," he said.

Ricci asked the police to be neutral and not be influenced by any party in handling this case. He hopes that the legal process will run transparently and fairly for the victims.
"I ask the police to stand neutral. Do not let there be intervention, especially from the reported party. This case must be monitored together by the community," said Ricci.
He also appealed if there were other victims who felt aggrieved by RF to immediately contact him as a legal representative to strengthen joint legal remedies.
Until this news was published, the RF had not provided clarification or response to the report.
