Puslabfor Polri Processes Fire Scene At Hermina Jatinegara Hospital

JAKARTA - The Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters together with the Jatinegara Police conducted a crime scene (TKP) after the fire that hit Hermina Jatinegara Hospital, East Jakarta, Wednesday (02/07/2025) afternoon.

However, the police are still investigating the cause of the fire at Hermina Jatinegara Hospital.

"Yes, we are still investigating the cause of the fire," said Jatinegara Police Chief Kompol Samsono when confirmed.

Kompol Samsono said that his party conducted a crime scene jointly with the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) team.

"We will carry out the TKP later while waiting for the Forensic Laboratory," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a number of patients at Hermina Jatinegara Hospital, Jalan Jatinegara, Kampung Melayu Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, were shocked by a fire in one of the hospital rooms on Wednesday (02/07/2025) morning.

A number of inpatients and outpatients were successfully evacuated outside the hospital or to a safe place. This incident caused a stir in a number of patients and hospital visitors.

The fire incident was reported to the Matraman Sector Fire Department. The blackout operation was carried out since 05.09 WIB.

"If the information caught fire from our bomb team or the attack team that entered the building, it was started with allegations from the pharmacy room," said Damkar picket officer Sukur to reporters at the location.
