The judicial review of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright (UU Hak Cipta) is still being processed at the Constitutional Court (MK). On Monday, June 30, the trial went on with the agenda of hearing the statements of the DPR and the Government, represented by I Wayan Sudiarta as a member of Commission III of the DPR and Razilu as Director General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law.

Before the trial was closed, Chief Justice of the Constitution Suhartoyo stated that the agenda for the next trial would hear information from related parties. He mentioned the name of Satriyo Yudi Wahono alias Piyu and the Koeswoyo family as the party who volunteered to provide information.

"For the upcoming trial, we from the panel of judges will hear first, because there is a request as a related party from Satriyo Yudi Wahono and his friends. This is a lot, including from the Koeswoyo family," said Suhartoyo.

Confirmed separately, Piyu confirmed that he as the General Chair of the All-Indonesian Composter Association (AKSI), together with members, had volunteered to provide information as a related party.

"Yes, members of the ACTION who volunteered as related parties. The general chairman and members," Piyu said via text message to VOI, Tuesday, July 1.

Meanwhile, ACTION will provide information for two cases, namely case number 28/PUU-XXIII/2025 submitted by 29 singers from the Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION) and case number 37/PUU-XXIII/2025 submitted by T'Koos personnel.

In addition, Suhartoyo also mentioned that the Association of Singers, Songwriters and Musicians of the Republic of Indonesia (PAPPRI) also volunteered as related parties.

"For the one who was Satriyo Yudi Wahono, for two cases, but if there is only one case for PAPPRI, in case 28," said Suhartoyo.

Meanwhile, the next trial will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 10.30 WIB, where the agenda is to hear ACTION information and PAPPRI as related parties.

In addition, the panel of judges will also increase input from Constitutional Justice Daniel Yusmic, who requested that the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) be presented as a related party.

"I suggest this, Your Excellency, Mr. Chairman, is it possible for us to ask LMKN as a related party? Because this is a problem from the statements of the DPR and the Government, there seems to be an implementation problem. So that we can see related to the existence of LMK or LMKN," said Daniel.

"Maybe the government and the DPR can provide additional, indeed the existence of LMK or LMKN was originally designed, because this is probably a problem with such great LMK or LMKN authority, which then raises the application submitted on this occasion," he added.

For information, the DPR and the Government in a statement at yesterday's trial asked the panel of judges to reject all requests for judicial review from the two applicants, members of VISI and T'Koos personnel.

The House of Representatives and the Government have asked the Constitutional Court to fully accept their statements, in which the Copyright Law is said to be not contrary to the 1945 Constitution.
