After Two Years, Google Will Present YouTube Create On IOS
JAKARTA Google plans to launch a YouTube Create for iOS users. This plan was revealed after Apple opened job vacancies to focus on development projects on iOS.
Found for the first time by TechCrunch, the job vacancy shows that Google is recruiting software technicians in Bengaluru, India. Although the application is being prepared, it is not certain when the iOS version of YouTube Create will be launched.
This video editing application was first launched in 2023 and is available exclusively to Android users. At the start of its debut, YouTube Create was only available in the US and seven other countries, then expanded to 13 new markets in February last year.
Despite being developed by Google, this feature is not very popular. During the two years available on the Play Store, the application has only been downloaded more than one million times. Apparently, Google wants to increase the number of users by expanding its application.

When compared to CapCut, the popular video editing app from ByteDance, YouTube Create is very far behind. In fact, this video editor is also left behind from InShot and other editing applications.
In the second quarter of this year, the number of CapCut and InShot downloads outperformed YouTube Create. Both are also superior in the number of monthly active users. The reason is, YouTube Create has less than 1 million active users per month.
Although Google is expanding its application to iOS, YouTube Create may find it difficult to gain popularity. To date, CapCut is not only ahead of the Play Store, but also on the App Store. On iOS, this application, which is integrated with TikTok, has 194 million monthly active users.
