Duet Olivia Rodrigo And Robert Smith Perform The Cure Song On Glastonbury's Main Stage

JAKARTA - Olivia Rodrigo's appearance at the Glastonbury Festival 2025 is in the spotlight, not just because she appears as the main stage closing of the Pyramid Stage, the 22-year-old popstar presents the frontman of The Cure, Robert Smith as a surprise to the audience.

The duet with Robert Smith, Rodrigo shows his love for British pop music in the 1980s. Both played guitar together, and performed two classic songs The Cure, 'Friday I'm In Love' and Just Like Heaven.

After his appearance, Rodrigo, through an upload on his Instagram account, thanked the frontman of The Cure.

Being a star in Glastonbury is really like a dream. Thank you especially to Robert Smith who has played two of my favorite songs of all time on stage with me last night," Olivia Rodrigo wrote, citing an upload caption, Tuesday, July 1.

The Filipino-American singer revealed how she received a special gift from Smith writing on a task that will be kept for good.

"And also for writing on my shirt backstage (I will keep it forever)," he said. "I am very grateful to everyone who came and sang and jumped. The night I will never forget."

While on stage, Rodrigo also expressed his respect for Smith.

"He's the kindest and greatest man ever and I feel very honored to be playing with him tonight," he said.

In his appearance, Rodrigo performed a total of 20 songs, including numbers that fans like, such as drivers license, traitor, deja vu, good 4 u, vampier, happier, to favorite crime.
