Heat Up Political Machines, Jakarta Democrats Start Revitalizing Management To Win The 2029 Election

JAKARTA - The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the DKI Jakarta Democratic Party held a Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) 2025 on Sunday, June 29, 2025. This Rakerda marks the beginning of massive consolidation and internal revitalization of the party ahead of the political contestation of the 2029 General Election.

Secretary General of the Democratic Party Herman Khaeron hopes that this time the Rakerda will produce a concrete work program that can restore the glory of the Democratic Party like the 2009 era.

"We want to align the revitalization of the DPP organization with the DPD, including the formation of a witness body and a logistics agency as part of strengthening the structure," said Herman when opening the Jakarta Democratic Party Working Meeting 2025, Sunday, June 29.

Herman also emphasized the importance of the involvement of all party structures in the momentum of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17. He encouraged populist activities to be carried out simultaneously throughout the region, both by the DPD and DPC.

"Please do simple activities but touch the people, such as cracker dining competitions, sack racing, or other traditional activities. The DPP will prepare a report format, but activities are adjusted to the character of each region," he said.

The commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary will also be part of a series towards the 24th Anniversary of the Democratic Party this year, as well as welcoming a quarter century of the age of the party in 2026.

"We need to prepare it from now on. In July there will be a national retreat in Pacitan from July 4 to 6, and participants will have to depart on the 3rd because there is a pre-test of 100 questions. Prepare physically, mentally, and spiritually. This is part of consolidation and internal strengthening of the party," explained Herman.

The chairman of the DKI Jakarta Democratic DPD, Mujiyono, opened the Rakerda with a strategic speech that emphasized the importance of comprehensive improvement. According to him, the Rakerda is not just an annual coordination agenda, but a collective reflection moment towards the party's struggle.

"We will never win in the 2029 election if we don't tidy up our own homes. The revitalization of the organization and the fulfillment of the fighting direction are key," said Mujiyono.

This forum raises the theme 'Revitalization of the Organization and Embezzlement of the Direction of the Jakarta Democratic Juang', and agrees on three main focuses of improvement, namely structure consolidation from the DPD level to branches, enforcement of organizational discipline and command loyalty, increasing the capacity of cadres through training and sustainable development programs.

Mujiyono emphasized that the Jakarta Democrats will also be directed as centers of excellence in regeneration. Starting this year, political education, public communication, and digital campaign literacy will be set as a permanent agenda at all levels of organization.

A number of concrete targets were formulated in this forum, including the evaluation of the 2022'2025 party body, the preparation of the 2025'2027 work program, and the ratification of the new DPD management structure.

"We are not a party born out of power, but from idealism. So never lose the fighting spirit," concluded Mujiyono.
