Indonesia-Turkey Agree On Cooperation To Develop Satellite Communication
JAKARTA - Two companies from Indonesia and Turkey, namely PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN) and CTech, a subsidiary of Turkish Aerospace Industries, have agreed to cooperate in a mobile satellite communication solution (Satellite Communications on the Move).
According to the President Director of the Nusantara Satellite Pacific, Adi Rahman Adiwoso, this collaboration marks an important step towards advancing satellite communication initiatives in Indonesia.
"This partnership is a strategic step to strengthen Indonesia's position in the global satellite communication ecosystem," he said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 27.
Synergy between the two companies will include aligning the system, technicality to ensure interoperability between CTech technology and PSN's satellite network, as well as pursuing mutual innovation in other satellite communications areas.
This satellite communication system that has been developed can significantly advance Indonesia's satellite technology, besides that it also allows users to receive satellite network signals when moving from one location to another, making it suitable for use on planes, ships, or other vehicles.
The development of this communication system is also carried out by utilizing PSN's satellite network to support mobile connectivity through national satellite infrastructure.
This system is designed to be used smoothly on various devices or platforms, ensuring reliable connectivity on land, sea, and air.
Adi added that CTech was chosen as a partner because it is a leading Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) designer and communication device manufacturer, with more than 20 years of experience, while parent company CTech, Turkish Aerospace Industries, is Turkey's largest defense and aerospace company.
By cooperating with CTech, continued Adi Rahman, his party presents reliable, efficient, and mobile communication solutions in accordance with Indonesia's extensive and challenging geographical needs.
"We are optimistic that this collaboration will pave the way for accelerating digital transformation in important sectors such as transportation, maritime, and national defense," he said.
Meanwhile, CTech Deputy General Manager of Marketing and Sales, Ejder Veli Arslan, expressed pride in partnering with PSN to support the development of a mobile satellite communication system in Indonesia.
"Moreover, Indonesia has great potential in advancing satellite communication technology," he said.

He said his party would combine the company's expertise in BLOS technology with PSN's national satellite network, in order to present a strong and adaptive connectivity solution.

Previously, on June 12, 2025 in Jakarta, the MoU was signed by the President Director of the Nusantara Satellite Pacific (PSN), Adi Rahman Adiwoso and Deputy General Manager of Corporate Marketing and Sales CTech, Ejder Veli Arslan.
