Getting Children's Custody, Baim Wong Must Give Access To Paula Verhoeven To Meet
JAKARTA - Paula Verhoeven's attorney, Alvon Kurnia Palma, said that the Religious High Court had handed over custody of her client's child to her father alias Baim Wong.
This is one of three decisions taken by the Religious High Court on appeal filed by Paula Verhoeven.
"(The contents of the appeal decision) there are 3 things in the decision, one, granting divorce, second, no nusyus, and three, custody of the father," said Alvon Kurnia Palma when contacted by VOI, Thursday, June 26.
Alvon added that the reason for giving Baim child custody was based on psychological observations, children were closer to their father.
"Because psychologists state that children are closer to fathers," he continued.
On this decision, the Religious High Court required Baim Wong to provide access to Paula Verhoeven to meet her two children.

If this is not done then Paula can apply for the cancellation of the child custody.
"If the Petitioner (Baim Wong) obstructs and does not provide access to the Respondent (Paula Verhoeven) to meet the two children of the Petitioner and the Respondent, then the Respondent can apply for the cancellation of child care to the trial in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. Number 1 of 2017 letter C, number 4," said Alvon.
