It Is Not Proven That Durhaka's Wife, Paula Verhoeven Gets A Nafkah From Baim Wong

JAKARTA - Paula Verhoeven said that the appeal decision she submitted to the Religious High Court had been issued since June 18.

When confirmed to Paula Verhoeven's attorney, Alvon Kurnia Palma, it was said that there were three things decided in the appeal.

First, the Religious High Court granted Baim Wong's divorce application, second, there was no evidence of nusyus Baim Wong's accusations to Paula Verhoeven and their custody of their two children fell to Baim Wong.

"(The contents of the appeal decision) there are 3 things in the decision, one, granting divorce, second, no nusyus, and three, custody of the father because the psychologist stated that the child is closer to the father," said Alvon Kurnia Palma when contacted by VOI, Thursday, June 26.

Alvon said there was no evidence that Nusyus was the same as Baim Wong's accusation that Paula Verhoeven was a disobedient wife.

Therefore, Paula Verhoeven automatically gets iddah and mut'ah rights from Baim Wong.

"Yes, it is not proven (wife is disobedient) and gets madhiyah, mut'ah and iddah income rights," continued Alvon.

Not wanting to explain in detail the nominal income given by Baim to Paula, Alvon emphasized that the focus of his client was the condition of their two children.

"The point is more about how children get positive things that will shape a good personality for children, that's the most important thing for Paula," he said.

For his own living, the attorney said Baim Wong had given it to Paula before the pledge of divorce was made.

"(The gift is given) a few days before the pledge of divorce must be fulfilled in the procedure," he concluded.

Previously, the South Jakarta Religious Court said that Paula Verhoeven was proven to be having an affair based on evidence from Baim Wong so that she was called a disobedient wife.

Therefore, Paula Verhoeven is not entitled to a living where previously she had proposed Rp80 million per month.
