IDX Records 14 IPO Companies Until May 2025, Collects IDR 7.01 Trillion In Funds

JAKARTA PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) recorded that 14 companies as of May 2025 had carried out an Initial Public Offering (IPO) action.

The total funds raised reached Rp7.01 trillion.

"The momentum for growth will continue in 2025 with the number of new shares recorded until the end of May 2025 as many as 14 new shares," said IDX President Director Iman Rachman at the IDX Public Expose, Wednesday, June 25.

Iman conveyed that of the total number of listings of new shares until the end of May 2025, 3 of them were Lighthouse IPOs, which were IPOs with a minimum market capitalization criteria of IDR 3 trillion, and free float 15 percent or a market capitalization value of free float of more than IDR 700 billion.

He added, as of May 2025, the total number of listed shares has reached 956 and regionally the IDX occupies the 2nd position in ASEAN for the total listed shares of the company.

In addition, Iman added, with the total number of companies recorded as making the exchange with the second highest growth, which increased by 1.38 percent globally.

Iman said that until the end of 2024, the IDX managed to record 41 new shares, 144 new Securities of Debt and Sukuk (EBUS), 15 additional shares of the proceeds from the Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) conversion, and 81 additional shares of the proceeds from the conversion of the wargan with the total funds raised from all these effects reaching Rp193 trillion.

"The contribution of raising funds originating from the 41 new shares is IDR 14.4 trillion. Meanwhile, the largest contribution of raising funds throughout 2024 comes from EBUS emissions of IDR 143.6 trillion," he explained.

In terms of demand, he continued, the total number of investors in the Indonesian capital market at the end of 2024 reached 14.8 million, an increase of 1.7 million single investor identification (SID).

According to him, retail investor participation is still maintained during 2024 with the dominance of the number of young investors from the millennial generation and Z.

Dia menambahkan, hal tersebut mencerminkan keyakinan investor terhadap pasar modal Indonesia masih cukup terjaga meski dihadapkan pada situasi ekonomi global dan domestik yang penuh ketidakpastian.

Masih kata Iman, untuk mendukung pertumbuhan investor pasar modal secara berkelanjutan, pada tahun lalu BEI telah melaksanakan lebih dari 34.000 kegiatan edukasi, atau meningkat sebesar 86 persen jika dibandingkan dengan tahun 2023, dengan jumlah peserta mencapai lebih dari 59 juta orang.

"BEI juga senantiasa memperluas jaringan distribusi melalui 967 Galeri Investasi (GI) BEI dan 29 Kantor Perwakilan (KP) BEI. Perluasan jaringan distribusi informasi juga meningkat melalui IDX Mobile yang sampai saat ini telah memiliki 242 ribu pengguna," tegasnya.

He added that this reflects that investor confidence in the Indonesian capital market is still quite well maintained even though it is faced with a global and domestic economic situation full of uncertainty.

Still said Iman, to support the sustainable growth of capital market investors, last year the IDX has carried out more than 34,000 educational activities, or an increase of 86 percent compared to 2023, with the number of participants reaching more than 59 million people.

"IDX also continues to expand its distribution network through 967 BEI Investment Gallery (GI) and 29 IDX Representative Offices (KP). The expansion of the information distribution network has also increased through IDX Mobile, which so far has 242 thousand users," he said.
