Prosecutor's Office Searches Bengkulu DPRD Office For Official Travel Corruption
BENGKULU - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Special Crime Investigation Team (Pidsus) conducted a search at the Bengkulu Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) office regarding the alleged corruption case.
"We, from the Special Investigation Unit of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office, are true today (24/6) to conduct a search at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Ristianti Andriani, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 24.
Meanwhile, the Head of Special Criminal Investigation at the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Danang Prasetyo, said the forced search was carried out in connection with a number of cases of financial management incorrectness at the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD Secretariat Office.
"Today we are making forced efforts in connection with criminal acts of corruption at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD in 2024," he said.
The search was carried out in connection with cases of alleged corruption of official travel orders (SPPD) and a number of other cases at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD for the 2024 fiscal year.
For indications, there are irregularities, mark-ups, fictitious discounts, and others related to financial management at the Secretariat of the 2024 Bengkulu Provincial DPRD.

Danang explained that the Bengkulu Special Prosecutor's Office investigator team also conducted a forced search at the Office of the State Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and four rooms at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD, one of which was the finance department.
"There were four rooms that were searched, one of which was the finance department. The search at the BPKAD Office was carried out related to finance at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD," he explained.
Meanwhile, the investigative team has also conducted investigations on a number of casual daily personnel (THL), state civil servants (ASN) to officials at the Bengkulu Provincial Council.
Meanwhile, the estimated state loss caused in the alleged corruption case at the Secretariat of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD is currently still in the calculation stage.
