Puan Asks The Government To Evaluate Anambas Island 4 Administration Sold On International Sites

JAKARTA - DPR Speaker Puan Maharani responded to the case of buying and selling Indonesian islands emblazoned on international sites. Such as Ritan Island, Tokongsendok Island, Mala Island and Nakok Island in Anambas Regency, Riau Islands offered by the website www.privateislandsonline.com.

Puan emphasized that the government must evaluate the administration and listing of the four islands in the Anambas Islands which are advertised on the site. He also asked the relevant commissions in the DPR to oversee the evaluation carried out by the government.

"We have also asked the government, and coordinated with the government to re-evaluate management and reorganize related to the administration of islands in Indonesia," said Puan, Tuesday, June 24.

The regional administration is under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs in partnership with Commission II of the DPR.

"So later in accordance with the mechanism through the relevant commission and of course what will be done by the government, we ask for administrative management and arrangement to mitigate all islands in Indonesia," continued Puan.

Puan reminded that the issue of disputes and buying and selling of illegal islands should not happen again in the future.

"Don't let the wrong use of islands in Indonesia," he concluded
