Ari Bias's Response After The DPR Asked The Supreme Court To Check Allegations Of Violations Of The Code Of Ethics From His Case With Agnez Mo
JAKARTA - Ari Bias, through an upload on his Instagram account, tried to respond to Commission III of the DPR RI who considered that the decision of the Central Jakarta Commercial Court to grant part of his lawsuit against Agnez Mo was not in accordance with applicable regulations.
Habiburokhman as Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI said his party asked the Supreme Court Supervisory Body (Bawas MA) to examine the alleged violation of the code of ethics in the decision of Agnez Mo's case.
Habiburokhman's statement has been in the spotlight of the Indonesian music world in recent times. Ari Bias, who is the most interested party in this case, also criticized the steps taken by Commission III of the DPR RI, which he said had no authority to instruct the Supreme Court to examine judges in his case.
"I have no problem if the judge is investigated for alleged violations of the judge's code of ethics. In fact, I am happy because this case must be resolved immediately," wrote Ari Bias, citing an upload statement, Tuesday, June 24.
"But it should be noted by the public that the Law in the Republic of Indonesia which adheres to the principle of the Trias Politica (three powers: Judicial Executive Legislative), Commission III of the DPR RI does not have the authority to instruct the Supreme Court to examine judges in certain cases, especially those that have been decided or are being appealed," he continued.

Ari said that if what Habiburokhman stated was carried out by the Supreme Court Bawas, it would be a form of legislative interference against the judiciary and violate the principles of the state of law.
He also displayed screenshots of several laws to support his argument, including Article 24 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution, Law Number 48 of 2009 Article 1 paragraph (1) and Article 3, and Perma Number 9 of 2016 Article 16 paragraph (2) point e.
Furthermore, Ari Bias also agreed with Windu Wijaya's upload, which criticized Commission III of the DPR RI, which he considered not defending the rights of songwriters.
