Vice President Gibran Emphasized That Umara-Ulama Synergy Is Important To Maintain National Unity

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the importance of maintaining the relationship between ulama and umara in order to maintain the unity and development of the nation towards a peaceful Golden Indonesia and the will of Allah SWT.

This was conveyed by Gibran when he visited the Manbaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Wringinputih Village, Muncar, Banyuwangi, East Java, Monday (23/6) night.

"He thanked Kiai's prayers and he asked for the relationship that had been established between the ulama and the umara to be well maintained for the strengthening of a united Indonesia," said the caretaker of the Manbaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School KH Imam Baidlowi Askandar as reported by ANTARA.

Gibran's directive is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's message that the synergy between ulama and umara is the key in maintaining the integrity of the nation and guiding the people in facing future challenges.

This visit is part of a series of activities of the Vice President in strengthening the role of religious education institutions in the development of the nation's character.

During his visit, Gibran was warmly welcomed by KH Imam Baidlowi, the ranks of the pesantren board, as well as students and local community leaders.

The Vice President also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the extended family of pesantren for the welcome, prayers, and support provided.

This visit reflects the importance of synergy between ulama and Umara in maintaining unity and building the nation.

Through this gathering, it is hoped that good relations between the government and Islamic boarding schools will continue to exist, strengthening each other in fostering a generation of morals, knowledge, and love for the homeland.
