Developing PT Taspen Case, KPK Set PT Insight Investments Management To Be A Corporate Suspect
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named PT Insight Investments Management (IIM) as a corporate suspect.
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the determination was the development of a fictitious investment case at PT Taspen Persero which is now being tried. Two people have sat as defendants, namely Antonius NS Kosasih as former President Director of PT Taspen (Persero) and Ekiawan H. P. who is the former Director of PT IIM.
"This case is a development of an investigation into alleged corruption related to deviant investment activities at PT Taspen which is managed by PT IIM as an investment manager," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, June 20.
Budi said investigators had already obtained evidence that corroborated the determination of the corporate suspect. Investigators have conducted a search at the PT IIM office located in the South Jakarta area.
"During this search, investigators secured documents related to financial records, securities transactions, list of assets, and electronic evidence as well as two units of four-wheeled vehicles," he explained.
"For this reason, in this new investigation, the KPK hopes that all parties will cooperate. That investigators have also identified the parties who also received and enjoyed the flow of money in this case," continued Budi.

As previously reported, Antonius Nicholas Stephanus Kosasih as the former President Director of PT Taspen was charged with enriching himself worth Rp34.08 billion in connection with the alleged fictitious investment case at PT Taspen (Persero) in 2019. The prosecution read out his indictment at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday, May 27.
In the indictment, it was stated that Kosasih, who at that time served as Investment Director of PT Taspen in 2019, benefited from investment in the Mutual Fund I-Next G2 to issue Sukuk Ijarah TPS Food 2 in 2016 from the portfolio of PT Taspen without the support of recommendations from investment analysis results.
In addition to enriching himself, Kosasih is also suspected of enriching other people and corporations, namely Ekiawan amounting to US$242,390, Patar Sitanggang Rp200 million, PT IIM Rp44.21 billion, and PT Pacific Sekuritas Indonesia Rp108 million.
Several other parties enriched in the case, namely PT KB Valbury Sekuritas Indonesia worth Rp2.46 billion, Sinar Emas Sekuritas Rp44 million, and PT TPSF Rp150 billion.
For this action, the state was harmed by Rp1 trillion, so that Kosasih and Ekiawan were threatened with crime in Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
