5 Hospitals In Iran Damaged By Israeli Military Attack
JAKARTA - At least five hospitals (RS) in Iran were damaged by Israeli military attacks.
This was conveyed by the President of the non-governmental aid agency IRCS or the Iranian Red Crescent Community, Pir Hossein Kolivand.
"Although there were no direct attacks, five hospitals were still damaged due to attacks nearby," Kolivand was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency via TASS, Friday, June 20.
Kolivand assessed that Israel's military efforts to impact medical facilities in Iran were gross violations of international law.
"Violating international humanitarian norms," he continued.
The Israeli-Iran conflict boils after Israel suddenly launched a military operation targeting high-ranking nuclear program and Iranian researchers on June 13 in the morning.
Less than 24 hours, Iran responded with a massive missile launch. Since then, the two countries, which are approximately 1,500 kilometers away, have attacked each other.
Russia has condemned Israel's actions on a sudden attack on Iran and expressed readiness to mediate in resolving the conflict.
