Garuda Investigation Results: There Is No Evidence That The Cabinet Crew Is Involved In The Case Of Passenger Loss Of IPhone

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia conveyed that the internal investigation process has been officially completed in investigating reports of lost passengers on planes in order to maintain public trust in professional national flight services.

Garuda Indonesia Commercial Director Ade R. Susardi said the internal investigation was a follow-up to reports of iPhone losses by one of the passengers on the GA-716 flight on the Jakarta-Melbourne route on June 6, 2025.

"The internal investigation of Garuda Indonesia was carried out thoroughly through intensive coordination with various related parties, which was carried out on June 6-18, 2025," said Ade as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 20.

Based on the results of the investigation, there is no evidence to indicate the involvement of Garuda Indonesia flight crew in the alleged loss of the iPhone.

As a form of commitment to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, Garuda Indonesia has officially reported the incident to the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit.

Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia will fully support the investigation process, and be ready to provide the information needed by the police in order to achieve the completion of the legal process in a fair, objective and transparent manner for all parties.

"We also continue to communicate with the passengers concerned," he said.

Ade emphasized that Garuda Indonesia fully understands the public's attention to this incident.

Therefore, his party ensures that every passenger input is the basis for strengthening and developing service quality.

The passenger report at the incident was said to be an evaluation material for Garuda Indonesia's operational procedures and services, as part of an effort to provide service excellence to passengers.
