President Putin Opens Opportunities For Nuclear And Space Cooperation For Peaceful Goals With Indonesia

JAKARTA - President Vladimir Putin opened opportunities for Russia's cooperation with Indonesia in the nuclear to space sector for the sake of peace.

This was said by President Putin in a press statement with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, after a bilateral meeting at the State Visit at the status Palace, St. Petersburg, Thursday 19 June.

"We are open to cooperation with Indonesian partners in the nuclear sector. We want to realize nuclear projects in the peaceful field, including health, agriculture and staff training.

Furthermore, the Kremlin Leader said that his party is interested in increasing cooperation in the field of advanced technology with Indonesia.

"Including the use of space with peaceful aims, smart cities, to artificial intelligence (AI)," said President Putin.

It is known that Indonesia and Russia signed a number of cooperations and agreements between the two countries as part of Jakarta's strategic partnership with Moscow, in a bilateral meeting between President Putin and President Prabowo.

Documents signed include cooperation in the field of higher education; MoU in the field of transportation; cooperation in information technology, communication and mass media, to agreements for establishing a Russian-Indonesian investment platform with 2 billion euros.

"I want to underline, Indonesia is a key partner of the Russian Federation in the Asia Pacific region," said President Putin.

"The bilateral relations between the two developing countries are based on the principles of trust and friendship. This year we celebrate 75 years of bilateral relations," said President Putin.

"Today Russia is also trying to develop relations between the two countries consistently," he said.
